Who doesn't like foxes? Well chickens don't.
This drawing was inspired by an actual photo circulating around Pinterest. I have no idea who snapped this photo or where it came from and do not own any rights to it.
I made my on interpretation of this photo as shown below: and its not even fair because of computer monitor color difference. The actual piece is much more vivid with orange color. My husband, Tim tells me I can't sell the fox either, but I know that someone will love him just as much.
The fun part of illustration is finding the things that come from imagination that don't exist in the real life or in the view of a bystander. Illustration is the details that come from the heart, to the hand, and through the eye. A story in one blink.
People may not agree with me, but I honestly believe that children can see things that we can't. Creativity in an adult is a child that survived. I will say this with a giant smile on my face. Drawing and creating art is a child like joy I can keep forever-a real gift in this life. I thank God every day for this.
I showed this piece to my friend, Kim, and she fell in love with him.
The sweet fox. He has a soft facial expression and surrounded with the textures in oil pastel (a great medium for rough fur)-"you just want to cuddle him."
I find myself admiring more fox images and seeing a wild one here and there keeps me interested in making more of them in drawings.
Chickens are not so inspiring but who knows they might get their turn.
